We took a mini family vacation at the end of February down to Phoenix, AZ. Left on a Thursday morning and got there that night. The kids did amazingly well for being in the car for 12hours. We only hit a little bit of snow and were MORE than welcome to the 70degree weather in Phoenix!
We made a bathroom stop in Meteor City, AZ (40miles East of Flagstaff), home of the Crater where a Meteor hit the Earth about 50,000 years ago. The crater is 4,150 feet in diameter, 550 feet deep and 2.4 miles in circumference. There was a little museum about Outer Space and Meteors which all 3 boys enjoyed a lot! Adalyn and I found it interesting but more than anything were just happy to be out of the car for about an hour. I included a photo album so you can decided to look or not…there is a family picture in there.
After we had looked at the crater, Brandyn informed me that this is actually something he remembered reading about as a kid and had wanted to see.
